Community Capacity Development Initiative (CCDI)

CCDI was developed to increase community capacity in responding to problematic behaviours using positive behaviour strategies. With an emphasis on a collaborative, strength-based, and efficient use of resources, the CCDI builds on existing strengths and resources within our community partners supporting individuals exhibiting challenging behaviour and building skills.

CCDI builds on foundational knowledge acquired through RSA training opportunities with an emphasis on the application of theory to persons in need of behaviour assessment and support.

CCDI involves:

  • Training sessions
  • Resources
  • Limited direct observations
  • Clinic days for ongoing support
  • Third party review of documents
  • Additional clinics / supports
  • Ongoing clinic supports from CCDI consultant once CCDI is completed
